Seaside Veterinary Services would like to extend a warm welcome to Dr. Chris Hannafin as he joins our Veterinary Team!
Dr. Chris Hannafin is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and has been practicing veterinary medicine in Rhode Island for 21 years. As a general practitioner, Dr. Chris works with both small and large animals.
With his focus on companion animals, shelter medicine, equine wellness, livestock, as well as alpacas & llamas, Dr. Chris’ experience and expertise are a great fit to Seaside’s existing services .
Dr. Chris has also served as the State Veterinarian for the State of Rhode Island, and has served on many boards, including the Rhode Island Rabies Control Board, the RIVMA & Rhode Island Companion Animal Foundation, promoting pet health awareness and wellness throughout the state.
During his time off, Dr. Chris enjoys many outdoor activities with his wife, and two great daughters, along with their 3 year old Beagle “Jack” in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Skiing, hiking, and surf casting are top of the list!
